Before you excite too fast, I let me remind you, this GH1 can be classified as SLR cameras, and this, in part because of the lack of a mirror and a roof prismAt least these are the key points, according to Wikipedia, to make a real DSLR SLR.

Photo-Editing, Storage, Tips
Now that summer is here, hikers are enjoying the great outdoors and taking lots of pics with their digital cameras… Today’s digital cameras – compact, mid-size, and zoom- point & shoot as well DSLR are shooting pictures at 8, 10-, 12- and 15 meg resolution. They present storage problems and photo editing.
Here are three important tips – a) Memory Cards – If you like taking lots of pictures on your weekend excursions or vacations – take extra cards – 4 GB is the standard now. The smaller the card the less pics you lose if you misplace your memory card. b) it doesn’t take long to use alot of your hard drive space on your computer with pics – so invest in a external hard drive – two types – portable 250 -320 GB and desktop 500 GB or more. Additonal backup – is to burn a copy your pics on DVDs c) Photo-editing programs – There are a number of free online photo-editing programs (20 plus) out there on the web -start with them first…some of these include Picnik , Fotoflexer, Phixr, Adobe Photoshop Express , to name a few.
Memories of your weekend & vacation experiences with family and friends are so important. Number one reason people go on vacations is to have unique experiences. Its pays to be prepared and have extra memory cards, an external hard drive to download and store your photos, back-ups on DVDs and to use photo editing programs. The 2009 Hike the Highlands Festival will once again have a photo contest for flora, fauna, people, humour and scenery categories . The festival will also have a group photo gallery on flickr ( to be annouced soon) where hikers can also post their pictures during the festival.
