The Fatal Luge Crash Video of Nodar Kumaritashvili Death accident of the Republic of Georgia caught on video. A 21-year-old Nodar Kumaritashvili, a luge slider competing at the Vancouver Olympics died after crashing during a training run by hitting a metal pole. Reports say that Nodal lost his control on his sled and crashed into a steel pole, which proved to be fatal for him.

Soon after the accident, authorities flew him to the hospital, but he was declared brought dead there.
In the mean time, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili told reporters on Saturday, “One thing I know for sure is that no sports mistake is supposed to lead to a death. No sports mistake is supposed to be fatal.”
It’s needless to say that the tragic death, caused by negligence and no foresight on behalf of the operating committee. All the extreme possibilities of things going wrong on the luge should have to be thought of and preventive measures put in place.

Nodar Kumaritashvili was taken to the hospital but the officials confirmed that the Georgian Luge player was dead. People and athletes were really shocked in the Kumaritashvili accident. According to the Vancouver Sun, Nodar Kumaritashvili was traveling at speeds greater than 90 miles per hour at the time of the crash, the fastest luge track ever.

Fellow Georgian Olympians wore black armbands for the memory of Nodar Kumaritashvili. A moment of silence was observed to honor Kumaritashvili Winter Olympics 2010 Opening Ceremony on Friday.
